A very special feature of our guided American Plan package is an "exquisite" shore lunch. Ask anyone who has had one - "simply out of this world!" Prepared by your guide, he will satisfy your pallet with fresh, lightly-breaded Walleye, Northern Pike, or Smallmouth Bass fillets (the breading is Anderson’s own secret recipe) pan fried over an open fire! Pan-fried potatoes and onions, pork and beans and a vegetable make this mid-day meal a true "Outdoor Gourmet" experience!

If you have a member of your party that cannot or prefers not to eat fish for Shore Lunch, other alternatives can be prepared. Just another example of the accommodating features at Anderson’s Lodge!

All guests on our American Plan packages experience the finest dining in the area. Quality food specially prepared by our skilled chefs, served by friendly, attentive and courteous staff. We offer an exceptional American Plan Menu - one so popular that many other lodges have even tried to duplicate it. We pride ourselves in service. Your entire meal is served table side - from your first cocktail, to soup, salad, dinner and dessert. There are no buffets, or salad bar line ups; your server takes care of all of your dining needs while you relax and enjoy yourself. While sipping on a cocktail, Foxy’s Supper Club delights in an atmosphere of camaraderie, warmth, and a renewing of old acquaintances; making new friendships and reliving the excitement of the day’s fishing. Beautiful and relaxing, our air conditioned rustic log Dining Room is tastefully decorated with a distinct Northern Ontario flavor. All of this, coupled with a lovely view of the lake, will certainly add to your dining pleasure!

Breakfast hours are between 6:30 a. m. and 8:30 a.m. daily, so you can get an early start on the days fishing; or if you prefer to take it a little more leisurely and get a late start - it’s your choice. And when it’s breakfast, we do it up right! Hot, sizzling sausages, bacon or ham served with eggs any style, hot cakes, or French toast all accompanied with home fried potatoes and your choice of toast is certainly a hearty way to start off your day! On the lighter side we also offer cold cereals, fresh fruits in season, toasted cinnamon buns, muffins and hot cereals. Your choice of juice and freshly brewed steaming hot coffee will accompany your early morning meal, all served to you by a friendly waitress.

Now let us tempt you with our evening menu. It is comprised of family-tested recipes that have been passed on over generations, shared secrets of some of the finest chefs in Canada, combined with our own standards for excellence, to provide you with the most satisfying dining experience you will ever have. The exciting meal plan featured in our American Plan fishing packages is a big part of what brings our guests back year after year.

We insist on only the freshest ingredients, and refuse to cut corners where it will jeopardize quality or taste. You will be treated to fresh vegetables, real dairy products, choice hand cuts of Canadian AAA specially - aged beef, fresh poultry, and pork. our fresh, daily - made desserts are traditional favorites of the lodge, and our soups are something in themselves to look forward to each day - hot and hearty from our own stocks. Unique nightly salads are made with the freshest of produce arid we make all our own salad dressings. No packages or mixes here, everything is fresh and homemade.

And if there is anything on our American Plan menu that does not agree with your diet, we have a full a la carte menu that you may also choose from. If you have any special dietary needs, you need only to inform our office staff and they will ensure that these needs are met by our chefs.

Dinner starts at 5:30 p.m. and we serve until 9:00 p.m. daily. This convenience allows you to dine at your leisure rather than forcing you to come up for dinner before you have had a chance to unwind. Enjoy a cocktail, take a leisurely walk around the grounds or just relax a bit and reflect on your day’s activities before heading in to dine. This is your vacation, and we want to make sure that you have the freedom to take things at your own pace. If the fish were biting furiously at noon, you may have opted for a later lunch and aren’t ready for dinner until later on in the evening. Or maybe you haven’t had enough fishing yet, and you want to come for dinner early so that after dinner you can take advantage of some evening fishing action. Either way, our dining hours are flexible enough to fit into anyone’s vacation schedule.

After a relaxing evening meal, you are welcome to join us for a cocktail, after dinner liqueur, or a special coffee and some good old-fashioned fun in the "Liar’s Lounge." We’ve heard a few "tall tales" told here, a recollection of the "big one that got away," reminiscing of the exquisite shore lunch enjoyed along a sandy beach and stories about the amazing skills of their guide. Unique conversation to be had by only those fortunate enough to have experienced a fishing vacation here at Anderson’s Lodge.

Saturday night we tempt you with an Herb Crusted Pork Loin, scalloped potatoes, and baby carrots. Enjoy a zesty Greek Salad before your main entrée, and a sumptuous New York Cheese Cake for dessert.

Sunday night is a traditional favorite – Prime Rib! We slow roast our Prime Rib all day to mouthwatering perfection and serve it au jus along with spiced roast potatoes and a blend of tender mixed vegetables. Start off with a tasty Oriental Salad and for dessert an Apple Cinnamon Stuffed Crepe.

Monday evening enjoy a Roasted Cornish Game Hen stuffed with a wild rice blend and fresh steam mixed green beans. Our own special Spinach Salad starts this meal off right and a delicious Dutch Apple Dessert is served to complete your meal.

Tuesday night you’ll want to sink your teeth into a juicy 10 oz New York Steak seasoned with the perfect blend of spices and charbroiled to your liking. Enjoy a baked potato, steamed broccoli, and a Caesar Salad with your meal, and don’t forget to try our “family tested recipe” homemade Chocolate Cake for dessert- decadent!

Wednesday evening we feature Roast Turkey with all the traditional trimmings – dressing, piping hot gravy, mashed potatoes, glazed carrots, cranberry sauce –just like Christmas! This meal is complimented with a tasty Orange Romaine Salad and for dessert a homemade Strawberry Ruhbarb Pie.

Thursday night is one of the most popular – succulent BBQ Baby Back Ribs served with a unique Wild Rice Blend and garden mixed vegetables. This meal begins with a creamy Seafood Salad and for dessert we offer a delightful tasting Carrot Cake.

Friday evening enjoy our tasty Chicken Souvlaki accompanied with Greek-seasoned, roasted red pepper rice pilaf and nibblet corn. Our own special blend of Balsamic Dressed Greens begins this meal and if you still have room, we have a homemade Ice Cream Cake for dessert dessert.
